Inside the Minds of Australia’s Workplaces

By Martin Cartwright

Addressing mental health is now the most significant workplace health and safety challenge facing Australian workers and employers. This report highlights the prevalence and impact of mental illness in the workplace, drawing on the latest data from national sources such as the Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA) survey and the National Data Set for Compensation-Based Statistics. It offers critical insights into the scale of the issue and identifies key opportunities for meaningful change.

I commend EML for commissioning this important research and for their commitment to bringing greater awareness to this urgent matter.
