NrityaShree 2025: A Dazzling Celebration of India’s Timeless Dance Heritage

Western Sydney’s cultural calendar is set to shimmer this November as the NrityaShree Dance Academy presents “Basanta Raag”, its first annual showcase, a breathtaking celebration of Odissi, one of India’s oldest and most graceful classical dance forms.

 
The event, titled NrityaShree 2025: A Cultural Evening of Dance, Music & Celebration, will take place on Sunday, 23rd November 2025 at Bowman Hall, Blacktown, where the stage will transform into a vibrant canvas of rhythm, expression, and storytelling.
 
Odissi, originating from the temples of Odisha, is renowned for its intricate hand gestures, lyrical movements, and soulful devotion, embodying centuries of Indian spiritual tradition and aesthetic finesse. The performance promises to transport audiences into an enchanting world of mythological tales and divine emotion, brought to life through the artistry of NrityaShree’s talented dancers.
 
The evening will also feature esteemed guests Mrs. Niyati Mehta, Director of ICCR, and Mr. Warren Kirby, Local MP, underscoring the event’s cross-cultural resonance and support for the arts in Western Sydney.
 

Curated by Debashree Das and supported by renowned dancers Sakshi and Pallavi.
