It was a proud moment at Valentine Sports Park as we gathered for the Commbank Emerging Matildas Championship 2025, a showcase of rising football talent and vibrant multicultural connections.
Delighted to share two special interviews from this incredible event:
🎥 Interview 1: A chat with Stephen Bali MP, Member for Blacktown, on the history of Valentine Park, reflecting on the importance of grassroots sport, youth empowerment, and how Western Sydney continues to shine as a hub of diversity and talent.
🎥 Interview 2: A joint interview with His Excellency Mr. Joe Tapera Mhishi, Ambassador of Zimbabwe to Australia, and Stephen Bali MP, where they discuss the powerful role of sport in uniting cultures, building bridges between nations, and strengthening community ties across generations.
The championship is not just about competition, it’s about connection. From young girls dreaming big to dignitaries cheering from the sidelines, the atmosphere was electric with hope, ambition, and unity.
A heartfelt thank you to Football Australia, Football NSW, and all the dedicated volunteers for bringing together players, families, and leaders in such an inspiring setting.
